Alfred "Al" Long Jr. passed away unexpectedly on April 11,2025.  He was a longtime advocate for those diagnosed with HIV and the AIDS virus.  He focused on prevention and awareness from modeling on billboards to helping spread information in the community.  A staple in the LGBTQ+ community in the Buffalo, NY area and the Cleveland-Lakewood area, Al earned many awards for his achievements and dedication.

Al was the only son of Alfred Long Sr. and stepmother Katherine Long O'Hara, he leaves behind his foster mother Linda Mills, his sister Angelika Anderson (nee Long) and brother-in-law John, nephew Daniel, nieces Patricia and Skye and great-nephew Alexander.

A Celebration of Life will be held during the summer of 2025 further details will be given by the family.
