David A. Meers, 76, of Parma Heights, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026. He was born on September 17, 1949, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to Joseph and Cecelia Meers.

David was fun-loving and always enjoyed making people laugh. He will be remembered for his kindness, his love of cooking, watching sports, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He had a warm spirit and a sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.

David is survived by his daughter, Megan Mather, his grand children, Ashley Garber and Jordan Mather, great grandchildren Henry and Slater Garber; his sister, Elizabeth Meers; and his niece, Claire Ashmead . He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; his mother, Cecelia; his brother, Casey; and his son-in-law Scott.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Greenbrier Health Center and Dignity Health Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided.

Funeral services were privately held.
