Dr. David R. Oldenburgh O.D. age 53, of Sheffield Village,

passed away unexpectedly July 30, 2018 after a sudden illness.

Beloved husband of Susie (nee: Czekansky), proud father of the late Brian

and dear son of Raymond (deceased) and Phyllis Oldenburgh (nee: Chmielewski).

Loving brother of Susan Walzer and Kathy (Glenn) Goodwin.

Proud stepfather of Tyler Atwell, Trevor Woodyard, and David and Ally Waszak.

Loving uncle of Lisa (James) Webster, Sarah Walzer (deceased),

Allison and Michelle Goodwin and

Susie's niece; Stacy Czekansky, and nephews Jesse and Daniel Bayot.

A dear son in-law of Ed and Elaine Czekansky,

brother in-law of Dan (Amanda) Czekansky, and Chris (John) Bayot.

Dave also leaves behind many patients and coworkers

that quickly became friends at his practice Oldenburgh Eye Center in Parma .

Along with his son Brian, Dave was preceded in death by his previous wife

Shannon Oldenburgh (nee: Sprankle).

Dave was passionate about life and truly lived to the fullest with no regrets.

Through the many tragedies and losses he faced,

he maintained a positive outlook and moved forward with continued optimism.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 8 ^th , 8pm at

the CANNON LOPRESTI AND CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME

11210 Detroit Ave. Cleveland

where family will receive friends from 4pm until time of service.

Private interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home

to help with the costs of Dave's medical bills.
