ELLEN JOY ZIEGMAN, (Sofchek/Brownlee), 12/28/1959-5/10/2020, Brunswick, Oh., Beloved mother of Derek, Anna and Jonathan Sofchek and loving sister to Renee Alaksa and Mark Ziegman. Passed away at the Cleveland Clinic suddenly on Sunday, May 10th. Ellen currently worked for Westfield Insurance and Walmart, and was a great team worker and all around spitfire. She had formerly been employed at Sherwin-Williams, Cargill and CNA Insurance. Ellen was born and raised in Lorain, OH. and loved the beaches here and in Florida. Ellen was a fiercely loving mother and was at her happiest with them and her Granddogs. She enjoyed Indians baseball, theater, gardening, decorating and spending time with her friend, Charlene. She worked hard at finding joy in each day and helped others to do the same. Ellen will be welcomed by her parents, Richard and Maryann Ziegman, and she'll meet her dog, Jazz, at the Rainbow Bridge and carries on to where she can watch over us all forever. The family will have a service at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vermilion, OH., when people are once again able to be together. We will then join to celebrate Ellen's life.
