Jeffrey Rush Chapin, age 70, of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026.

Jeff was born on December 2, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio. He retired from Seaway Foods after a 38‑year career and was a proud member of Teamsters Local 507.

He leaves behind his wife, Laurie; his children Jason (Retta), Megan, and Gregory; and his grandchildren Megan, Grace, Jason, and Tommy. He is also survived by his siblings Linda, Todd, Duff, Julie, Jane, Mark, and Jeff, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered fondly by his fine‑dining partner in crime, David Hinz, and his best pup, Buster. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Chapin and Barbara Williams, his sister, Janet Johnson and dog, Nero Chapin.

Jeff was an avid Cleveland Browns fan through every season. He enjoyed a good fast‑food run, spending time with Tommy, and he never missed a good nap.

The family will hold a private celebration of life.
