Juanita R. Cope (nee: Scarpitti) age 69, of Canal Fulton, passed away peacefully November 30, 2016. A proud United States Veteran, Juanita served in the Women's Army Corp during the Vietnam War. She was the beloved wife of the late Hershell Cope. Dear mother of Denise Anderson of Canal Fulton and Sean Cope (Carrie Bycura) of Canton. Loving sister of Mary Bieri (deceased), Patricia Mong, Thomas (Barbara deceased) Scarpitti and Tony Scarpitti. Juanita also leaves behind her dearest and devoted grandson Stephen Wood (Lauren Burnett) and great-grandson Damien Lee Wood, and grandchildren; Alyssa Cope and Maryah and Kayden Bycura, her former sister in-law Lorna Scarpitti, step children; John, Deborah and David Cope and many step-grandchildren and numerous relatives and in-laws in Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Carol Scarpitti (nee Macbride). A memorial service with military honors will be held at Monday December 12, 7pm in the Pavilion of The Ohio Veteran's Memorial Park 8005 Cleveland-Massillon Ave. Clinton, OH 44216, where the family will receive friends from 5pm until time of services. A private burial will be held at Lakewood Cemetery. The family would like to thank VNS Hospice for their care and support.
