Kathleen Marie "Kate" Viancourt was reunited with her God, her husband of 52 years, Vincent and her son Frank on Thursday July 21, 2022.  She was 92 years old. Kate was born on March 25, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Margaret (Deeds) and Steven Banach. She married Vincent Viancourt (dec. 1/11/02) in 1949 and they had 8 children, Frank (dec. 7/31/73), Vincent, Timothy (Marge), Thomas (Julie), Daniel (Jane), Deborah Rickert (William), David (Karen) and Patrick (Kim).

Kate devoted her life to her family and her friends. While she was fervent and tireless in her love for her children, she adored her 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. If there was a grandchild participating in a sporting event, Kate could be heard in the stands rain or shine yelling her customary cheer "WOO-WOO-WOO".  Kate was known for her quick wit and no-nonsense plain truth speaking.  Her faith in God provided a constant source of strength and comfort to her through her life and she would often pass on her wisdom with statements such as "if you worry why pray, if you pray why worry?".  Kate was an active and longtime member of Al-Anon, caring for and counseling many over the years.

Kate left this world as she had lived in it, peacefully and surrounded by the love of her children and her daughters and son-in-law who she also considered her children. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 18th from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Cannon-Catavolos Funeral Home, 6953 W 130th St. Parma Hts., Ohio. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 19th at 10:00am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 929 Pearl Rd. Brunswick, Ohio 44212.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
