LENICE J.DEAN (nee Willingham),known to all as Penny of North Royalton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13th, 2021. She was born on April 10, 1929 in Alabama to the late Beulah (nee Taylor) and Oran Willingham. When you said the name Penny, the first thing that came to mind was a big yellow school bus. It was more than just a job to her; she loved every minute of her 30 year tenure and had to be coaxed to retire at age 78! She enjoyed gardening, took great pride in her yard and home, and was known for her strong work ethic and never being afraid to speak her mind. When all was said and done, Penny's true joy came from her faith and family. If you stopped by, you could find her rocking in her recliner humming gospel hymns after listening to her Bible on CD. She would invite you in and say, "help yourself from the fridge, you've been here before, you're home now". Penny was preceded in death by her husband Ray Sr., daughter Reva, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Jay, granddaughter Stacey, parents and 10 siblings. She will be dearly missed by her loving children; Ray Jr., Morris and Mark Dean (Becky); brother Floyd Willingham (Lurlie, 4 dear grandchildren,6 precious great grandchildren, beloved nieces, nephews, church family, and so many more family members and friends.
