Obituary

Lorena Fay Bibb (nee James) of Olmsted Falls, born June 2, 1932, passed away peacefully, Sunday June 14, 2026, while under hospice care at River Pointe Care Center.

Lorena, sometimes known by family and friends as Lori, was born June 2, 1932, in West Virginia and was raised in the Robson area. She lived a life defined by strength, resilience, determination and wisdom. She built a life centered on hard work, lifelong learning and above all else, family.

Lorena worked for Cole Consumer Products before retiring, but her greatest and most important role was being the heart of her family. She took immense pride in her children and created a home filled with warmth, conversation and lasting memories.

Lorena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph George Bibb Sr. and her sons; Joseph George Bibb Jr., Steven Wayne Bibb Sr., and Jeffrey Kevin Bibb.

Lorena’s memory will be lovingly carried on by her children: Denise Lora Goldsworth, Teresa Lynn Bondzio, Beverly Kay Aytay, Lori Ann Dean and Scott Patrick Bibb, 3 sons in-law and a daughter in-law, 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

Lorena had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. She loved talking with everyone she met and was genuinely interested in hearing their stories. She found joy in reading, working crossword puzzles, learning new things and spending meaningful time with family

Family gatherings at Lorena’s home became cherished traditions. She had a way of making every occasion feel special and bringing people together in a way that made everyone feel welcome and loved. She was truly the glue that held her family close.

Those who knew Lorena will remember her beautiful blue eyes, her incredible inner strength, her sharp mind and the steady love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured, the memories she created and the countless lives she enriched simply by being herself.

A memorial service will be held honoring Lorena Tuesday, June 23rd, 11:30 am at the CANNON – CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME 6953 W130th St. Parma Heights Where the family will receive friends from 9am until time of services.

 *A message from Lorena's children:
Mom, thank you for your endless love, your strength, your wisdom and for showing us what family truly means. You made "ordinary" moments unforgettable and gave us memories that we will carry forever. Though our hearts ache in your absence, we will take comfort n knowing your love remains with us every day. Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully knowing your family will carry your strength, your traditions and your love forward for generations to come. You will forever be missed, you will forever be loved, and forever be the heart of our family.
