Obituary

Mary J. Clarke, 74, of Westlake peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the Northridge Heath Center surrounded by her family.
Mary was a kind and compassionate woman who left a positive and lasting mark at home, church, her workplaces and with many others whose lives she touched.  She worked as as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell/Ameritech for 30 years retiring early in 2008.  Mary then worked as a caregiver for several more years as her true calling.
She was our family's angel on earth and we rejoice knowing she is now in Heaven, even as we miss her here on earth.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Clarke in 2016 and her parents Leo and Mary Slattery who passed in 1971.
Mary leaves behind her beloved children Debbie Clarke (Joe), Cheryl Knab (Scott) and granddaughter Calista.
Family will receive friends Saturday, July 13, from 11:30 a m until time of services at 12:30 pm
at the CANNON - CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME
6953 W130 th St. Parma Heights (across from BJs in Southland)
Following the funeral services, Mary and Richard will then be reunited with her burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
** For those not proceeding to Holy Cross in procession with the family, there will be a luncheon in Mary's honor at the Time Warp Bar 26261 Center Ridge Rd. Westlake immediately following the burial.  You are more than welcome to wait for the arrival of the family there at approximately 1:45pm**
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to
The Alzheimer's Foundation or The Dementia Society of America.
