Mary Collaros (nee Catavolos) a woman of strong faith and determination passed away on August 12th 2016 at the age of 99. She was born in Sommersworth, NH. on February 7, 1917, the precious daughter of George and Christina Catavolos. Mary married the love of her life Jack Collaros (deceased) on September 8, 1940 in Cleveland, OH. They were a devoted couple who together met many challenges and were an inspiration to witness. She is survived by her adoring children, Angela Christian of North Royalton and Christina Sabetta (Frank) of Streamwood, IL. Her beloved Grandchildren, Rev. Gregory B. Sabetta (Daniel) of Chicago, IL and Kristen Fortino (Thomas) of Glen Ellyn, IL. cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. Loving Godmother of Leah Pastis and Vivian Kontos and dearest friend of Nancy Klomfas. Mary was the second oldest in her family and last survivor of seven. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Peter G.Catavolos (Dolores) deceased, Penelope Catavolos, Michael Vales, Louis Catavolos(Helen) deceased, Archie Catavolos and Pete Catavolos (deceased) (Irene). Our deepest appreciation to John Coury and his entire staff at North Park Retirement for their excellent and loving care. Our gratitude to Holy Family Home for prayerfully guiding her into God's hands. Mary was a life-long member of the Philoptohos Society. Her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by family and friends. All Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16th , 11 am at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church 4548 Wallings Road, North Royalton, OH.44133 where the family will receive friends 9:30 am until time of service. Rev. Father Costas Keares, officiating. Interment St. Theodosius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church.
