IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nelson Ault
"Wing-Nut"
May 19, 1951 – August 30, 2024
Nelson L. Ault AKA "Wing-Nut", 73, of Deerfield, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 30, 2024.
Nelson was born in May of 1951, grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Shaw High School. For the majority of his working career, Nelson worked at LTV Steel until they closed. Then he worked as a Security Guard at multiple posts even after he decided to retire in 2016. He was an avid train collector, loved his family, was a very giving man, and was always willing to help others. Nelson loved having fun and his greatest joy was spending time with his family, even if it meant plans getting changed and not being able to show up with the pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving dinner.
Nelson was a member of several different motorcycle clubs including: GWRRA, where he was a life member and the Safety Coordinator for Chapters G2, T, and I-2; Mahoning Valley Spyder Ryder's; and EWMA, where he was a Charter member. Despite Nelson losing part of one of his legs in a motorcycle accident he put his best foot forward, had gotten back on the bike to ride, and was a devoted participant in many motorcycle functions and rallies where he was well-known worldwide for his "Wing-Nut" hat that he wore at all functions.
Nelson is survived by his daughter Aelisha (Terry) Williamson and granddaughter Peighton Hughes of Ashland; his sisters Carol Blystone of Austintown and Eileen Ault of Willoughby Hills; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents George Ault and Eva Cristall; his sisters Marilyn Burnett and Loreen Calavitta, and son George Ault.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a donation to help with the funeral costs, directly to his daughter Aelisha Williamson 70 Lodgewood Dr. Ashland, OH 44805.
