Obituary

On Sunday, October 26th, at the age of 88, Patrick Joseph McMahon passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.  Patrick was born on May 12th, 1937, in Johnson City, New York. He attended college in Binghamton, New York when he met the love of his life Earlene.  After graduating college, Pat joined the Army and finished with an honorable discharge. Pat and Earlene married and moved to Ohio.  The two were happily married for over fifty years and were two peas in a pod.  They even had a personalized blanket that said so.

Pat was an interesting man with many talents.  He learned to fly planes and was an avid golfer.  He was an engineer for NASA and worked in IT for Summit Racing before retiring. Later in life, Pat went to work for McDonalds and made the best breakfast burritos in town.  He was so very proud of those burritos and said that nobody else could make them as good as he did.

Pat was a Christian man who loved his church and always put God first.  When his wife Earlene passed away, Pat was devastated. It was then that he decided to dedicate his time to volunteer his services to the Hospice of the Western Reserve where he spent countless hours volunteering his time visiting the sick and praying over the dying. No destination was too far for Pat to travel when the sick and dying needed him.  Above all of Pat's great accomplishments and adventures, hospice and his faith in God were his greatest passions.

Pat was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul that cannot be matched.  So many more wonderful things could be said about this amazing man, but one thing we can all agree upon is Pat was so loved by so many. He touched so many lives with his kindness and love and will be greatly missed by all.
