Richard J. "Dick" Yurko, age 80, a longtime resident of Lakewood, died peacefully March 23, 2017. Beloved son of both the late Jack and Mary (nee Barnick) of Parma, Mr. Yurko was a US Army veteran and graduate of Ohio University in Athens, OH. He was formerly an employee of Stouffer's and Central National Bank, more recently; he served as a concierge at both Marriot Key Center Hotel and the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland. Mr. Yurko was an eleven year resident of Eliza Jennings Nursing Home in Cleveland where he has many friends among the staff and other residents. He was a friend of Dr. Bob for over thirty six years and leaves behind friends David Tadych, Michael Gore (deceased), Judy and Joseph Giampietro, Phyllis Curran, Dave Williams and Carl Gribble. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2:30pm at the Eliza Jennings Health Campus 10603 Detroit Ave. Cleveland, where friends will gather from 2pm until time of services. A private burial will be at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Eliza Jennings Health Campus.
