Roy C. Mitchell age 78, passed away August 16 ^th , 2022, with his wife by his side.

A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Roy served in the 101 ^st Airborne from 1961 to 1964.

Roy was long-time resident of Middleburg Heights and a 55-year member of the Ironworkers Local 17 but will be remembered most as a dedicated family man loving his roles as "Dad", "Pops", "Pappy", and "Rum Dum".

Beloved husband for almost 54 years of Jean (nee: Kado) and loving father of Cathy Mitchell Berlin (Paul) and David Mitchell (Jessica).  Proud grandfather of Rebekah, Triston and Kyle Mitchell and Sydney Berlin and great-grandfather of Jeffrey Vezina III.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 25 ^th 7:30pm at the CANNON – CATAVOLOS FUNERAL HOME, 6953 W130th St. Parma Heights where family will receive friends from 6pm until time of services and Military Honors.

Roy is reunited with his beloved dog "Chance" and they will both be scattered at sea privately at a later date.
