Anthi Johnson (nee Zohos) entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 1, 2023, surrounded by her children.
Born on September 5, 1938, in Pamfila, Mytilini, Greece to Peter and Anastasia Zohos. She was one of seven children. She immigrated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1960 at the age of 21 where she studied and was eager to become an American citizen. She met and married the love of her life, Charles Johnson, in 1963 and together started their family in Mayfield Hts. Her love of her Greek Orthodox faith was central to her family and everyday life. She was active in various ministries and organizations at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Cleveland Hts. In her later years she moved to Hinckley to be closer to her children and grandchildren and attended St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church in North Royalton.
Anthi never met a stranger and was affectionately known as Yiayia by all. She had a love for baking, cooking, and gardening and enjoyed sharing those passions with everyone!
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Johnson and is survived by her two children, Vera (Ray) Lindemann and Frank (Eleni) and her 6 grandchildren Charley, Anastasia, Arianna, Gregory, Anthea and Christopher, a brother, Bill (Toula), two sisters, Fotini Hliatzos (Charlie) and Lena Deligiani (the late Noeptolemos), brother-in-law, John Johnson, and many nieces and nephews in Ohio, Greece, and Australia.
All funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 11am at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 4548 Wallings Rd., North Royalton 44133, where the family will receive friends 10am until time of service.

Interment St. Theodosius Cemetery.
