Obituary

Caroline Ellen Trela, beloved baby daughter of Lindsay Ellen Meggas and Joseph Daniel Trela, passed away peacefully August 13th 2023 after a sudden illness with her mom and dad by her side. Caroline was 13 months old, a 4th-generation Lakewoodite and carried a vibrant light everywhere she went. She was a happy, funny baby and brought joy to family, friends and strangers.

Our new guardian angel now shines her light down on us from heaven.

Caroline was the granddaughter of Barbara Van Hala and the late Dale Meggas, and James and the late Mary Trela (nee Murphy). She was the beloved niece, great-niece and cousin of many.

the CANNON - CATAVOLOS Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held

Saturday August 26, 11am at

Lakewood Congregational Church

1375 West Clifton Blvd. Lakewood

Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.

Due to limited parking, family and friends not going to the cemetery if able, please park at a public lot just east of Mark Twain Apartments, next to the church or just west of Donato's Pizza on Detroit Rd.

Memorial donations may be made directly to the family to honor Caroline at a later date or to Guiding Eyes for the Blind at www.guidingeyes.org. Caroline loved her puppies and in her honor, puppies can continue to be raised to bring more joy into the world along with independence to others.
