Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Horne peacefully went home to be with the Lord early on the morning of March 29th, 2022.
She was born in Cochran, Georgia on June 12th, 1931 to the late Christine and Willie Waters.
Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; sons Brandon Horne (Yvette Hawkins) and Robert E. Horne III (Mary) and Jacklyn Ireland.
She was loved by her over 20 plus grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Robert Earl Horne Jr., son Garrett, daughters: Delbra Ford, Priscilla Horne and Stephanie Blackwell, her sister Betsy Davis and brother Norman Davis.
Dorothy was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess, choir member and enjoyed bible study. She lived her life with an overwhelming love for God, gospel music, singing praises to our Lord and Savior and helping her family whenever there was a need. Family was important to her and she taught us all what love of family was really about.
She instilled those values to her children. And loved having her family around for holidays. Her life was filled with countless blessings, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
