Henry Gates age 67 of Rocky River, passed away
on Friday January 15, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of Deborah Gates (nee: Herrick) and
devoted father of Joseph Gates, Sarah Gates Thompson (Brian Thompson) and Jacqueline Gates.
Dear brother of Gordon Gates and Alvin Gates and uncle, cousin and nephew.
Henry also leaves behind many friends and his fur babies; Chloe, Lita, and Kitty and his many grand-dogs.
Henry was preceded in death by his father William Gates and step-mother Marjorie Gates,
his mother Elaine Walden and step-father Gerald Walden, and sisters Linda Gates and Rebecca Walden
A proud US Marine Corp Veteran and West Tech High School Warrior,
Henry was a hard-working, loyal entrepreneur.
He was charismatic and liked by many, often remembered by his story telling.
He loved enjoying a casual cigar or glass of whiskey with close friends.
An avid motorcyclist, Henry enjoyed cross country trips on his Harley.
He really knew how to light up a room, was always kind-hearted and would give you the shirt off his back.
Henry will be greatly missed by all.
