Kate Hoegner (née Kelleher) and Megan Franciscus (née Kelleher),
as well as his many nieces, nephews, and in-laws (lovingly referred to as the “outlaws").
He was preceded in death by his father, James Kelleher.
Paul was born on July 13, 1956 in Covington, Kentucky. He moved with his family to Ohio when he was a child and attended and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974. In high school, Paul was an athlete and loved playing basketball. He was an incredibly talented artist and enjoyed drawing and sketching. Paul also loved cars, especially brand new cars without a scratch on them! He took pride in his cars and took very good care of them, washing and waxing them regularly. After high school, he attended classes at The Ohio State University and received an associates degree from Cuyahoga Community College.
Paul began working in the medical field as an orderly at Lakewood Hospital while he was finishing his degree.
He met Wendy there in 1979 while she was working in the dietary department. They married in May, 1984. Paul later became a Physician Assistant and spent his career working in the medical field until retirement in 2020. He was dedicated to his work and helped save and improve the lives of thousands of patients.
Paul loved spending time with his family. He spent many summers vacationing in Myrtle Beach with his wife and children,
eating oysters, making “drip” sandcastles and looking for crabs in the sand. He was also a music aficionado.
He was a musician and played guitar. He knew the artist and the words to almost every 70’s or 80’s song.
