Obituary
Reverend Father John Michael Loejos age 70,
passed away peacefully December 10th 2021 at his home surrounded by family.
Beloved husband of Presbytera "Paula" Marie Loejos (nee: Domen).
Loving father of Anastasia (Kevin), Andrea and Michael (Kelly).
Proud Papouli of Sebastian.
Beloved son of both the late Michael and Asemina "Nina" Loejos.
Loving brother of Jerome (deceased)
and Lemonia (Louise).
Fr. John graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1976 with a degree in
Psychology and Allied Health Technology.
He worked as a surgical assistant prior to attending
Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology,
where he graduated with a Master’s of Divinity degree.
Fr. John was ordained to the Holy Priesthood in June 1982 and served communities in
Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, Stroudsburg, PA, Clarksburg, West Virginia and Omaha, Nebraska.
In 1999 he returned back to Cleveland, Ohio where he served the community of St. E. Premte
under the Albanian Orthodox Church for over 20yrs.
Fr. John served as Board President of People’s Hospice, Chaplain of the Cleveland Police Department,
past Board President of St Herman’s Monastery and House of Hospitality and
was an active member of the American Nationalities Movement.
The family would like to thank the staff of Taussig Cancer Center, Residence Home Care
and CCF Home Hospice for their wonderful support and care.
And a special thank you to Fr. James Doukas, Fr. Paul Monkowski and Fr. Costas Keares
for their love and concern during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, 11am at
St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church
4548 Wallings Rd. North Royalton with
Orthos beginning at 8am, Divine Liturgy 9am and funeral service at 11am.
His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh Officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 15th
at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church
4548 Wallings Rd. from 4-8pm
Trisagion service 7pm
Interment St. Theodosius Cemetery.
(The family requests masks be worn and social distancing be observed)
